Terminate the Rate passes 100,000 signatures

The Terminate the Rate campaign has flown past the 100,000 signatures mark as people continue to back the initiative to lower Mobile Termination Rates (MTRs)!
101,466 people have now signed the petition to lower MTRs lending their support and joining over 50 campaign partners that include amongst others MoneySupermarket.com, the Post Office, the Federation of Small [...]

Terminate the Rate beakies land and cause a flutter

To coincide with yesterday’s launch of the Terminate the Rate campaign, a flurry of ‘Beakies’ landed on people’s doorsteps. Packed with facts about Mobile Termination Rates and the campaign, the beakies appear to be taking people back to their school days and piquing interest in the movement.

We’ve been talking about mobile termination rates for years here at 3. It sounds like a dry topic, until you realise the amount of money that is involved. Billions each year. Money that ultimately comes from every consumer and business in the land. £750m from fixed-line users alone.
